THE PRAIRIE FAN

The beautiful windows designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for his architectural projects during the Twenties and Thirties inspire our Prairie fan. Rather than the shockingly colorful glass used by the Victorian glass artists, Wright used subtle variations in translucency, generally in clear and white glass punctuated with highlights of color.

We also offer a version of this fan, The Library, with the yellow-green glass favored by the West Coast Arts & Crafts designers. The simple, square-glass pattern framed in a bronze fixture typifies the simplicity of design in this period, focusing the eye on the beauty of the glass.

This fanlight uses hand assembled stained glass panels in a historic frame. The fan, however, is the most current technology with die-cast construction and a lifetime motor. A remote control is available as an option. The Prairie and Library fans are available with an optional energy-saving, 26-watt spiral fluorescent lamp with 2700 Kelvin color temperature for the warmest glow.

Textured Nickel with leaded glass shade. Lamping options include incandescent and energy-saving compact fluorescent.
